Return Policy

Every Murray Industries piece is built to order. We stand behind the work, and we're realistic about what handmade goods are.

What we accept

Defects. If your board has a manufacturing defect — a finishing flaw, a structural issue, anything we missed in QC — email us within 14 days of delivery and we'll make it right. Repair, replace, or refund — your choice. We pay return shipping.

Damage in transit. See Shipping.

What we don't accept

Buyer's remorse on custom or personalized pieces. Anything personalized (engraved name, custom harbor layout, dated inscription) is final sale. We've already cut and finished the wood specifically for you; we can't resell it.

"It looks different than the photo." Walnut and other natural hardwoods vary piece to piece. Grain, color tone, and figure are part of the appeal. We photograph representative pieces, but every board is unique. If you need a specific aesthetic, message before ordering and we'll send photos of the specific blank we'd cut from.

Non-defective standard returns past 14 days. If a non-personalized board has a defect, we want to fix it. After 14 days, we treat the piece as accepted.

How to start a return

Email hello@murrayindustries.co with:

  1. Your order number
  2. Photos of the issue
  3. What outcome you want (repair, replacement, refund)

We respond within 2 business days. If we agree the piece needs to come back, we email a prepaid return label. Replacement or refund processes within 5 business days of return arrival.

Restocking

No restocking fees on accepted returns.
