The Shop
A father-and-son woodshop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We opened in 2022 with one goal that hasn't changed: build things our customers will want to keep.
Every game board we make is CNC-machined on a Shapeoko 5 Pro and hand-finished in our commercial shop. It’s not handmade in the romantic sense — it’s precise in the way that matters. Our patent-pending inlay pockets for Catan boards hold every tile and harbor to tolerance. That doesn’t happen by feel.
The Work
Heirloom Inlay Catan Boards. Available in six American hardwoods: Maple, White Oak, Cherry, Pecan, Walnut, and Osage Orange. Two of those — Pecan and Osage Orange — are native Oklahoma species. We didn't pick them for the story. We picked them because the wood is exceptional and nobody else is using it. Standard (2–4 player) and Expansion (5–6 player) formats. Both available in six species.
The Heir. Our double-sided board — standard layout on one face, full expansion on the other. One board, both games, a lifetime of play. The premium of the line.
Field Edition. HDPE. Weatherproof, food-safe, wipe-clean. Built for the patio, the campsite, the RV, the kitchen table with kids. Same patent-pending pocket design. Goes where wood won't.
Custom Commissions. Furniture, built-ins, and one-room one-family pieces. Most projects start with a sketch and a conversation. Lead times run 6–10 weeks.
The Space
We work out of a commercial unit in Tulsa — real machines, real dust collection, real lead times. Not a garage.
- Carbide 3D Shapeoko 5 Pro CNC
- SawStop PCS 3HP table saw
- Laguna 18|BX bandsaw · JX|8 ShearTech jointer · SuperMax 37x2 drum sander
- Festool: Domino, sanders, planer, trim router
- Spinrite router table · Bosch miter saw · DeWalt planer · Maksiwa pocket-hole machine
- Oneida Gorilla 5HP dust collector, fully ducted
The kit matters because the tolerances matter. Loose tolerances, loose tiles. We're not interested in either.
Before anything ships, every tile pocket and harbor slot is hand-checked to confirm fit. If it doesn't seat cleanly, it doesn't leave.
Every piece that leaves the shop carries the Murray Industries medallion — the mark of the shop, and the people in it.
